💜💛💚💙

It's been a crazy night

We had a big scare last night with James. He looks like he's fine and is super stable and is his normal happy self.

We are in the PICU at Children's hospital because James took a tumble off the bed yesterday and has a very small (5mm) subdural hematoma. Last night he had some severe vomiting and unusual fussiness that worried me enough to take him in. Long story short, he's doing well now and the vomiting may have been related to the head bump or might be a virus. His skull was not fractured and beyond the vomiting has been acting normally. He's nursing and snoozing away in my arms right now.

If he holds down his breakfast and continues to do well we are heading home in a few hours! The Wallace clan does not need any more medical dramas right now! Maybe James was trying to show his Grandpa Mike some solidarity.
Love to you all,
Kathryn

It's hot here and James is 6 months old.

It's been in the 80's and 90's here all week.

Stella got a new sprinkler and a new raincoat so why not play with both at the same time.

Popsicles also help beat the heat.

Or swimming with Auntie Anna.

Not much fusses this guy up. He's up to 20 and a half pounds. He's about 92% for head size, weight and length. 6 months today!!

14 lbs

James is 14lbs. 14!! He's not even 2 months till Saturday and February was a short month. On her 2 month appointment, Stella wasn't quite 12 pounds. Here are some recent shots!

Mr. Handsome

I managed to get to the park with both kids on my own one day.

Sherry helped make this look a reality.

My friend Jerrine sewed this whole outfit!

Happy Late Valentines

James is getting bigger and chubbier  by the day. Stella is getting used to having a brother and Brian and I occasionally sleep. I can't believe it's already been 5 weeks since James was born!

Lazy few minutes on the couch. I love these two so much!

More kids = more laundry. Stella 'helped' me unload the dryer.

I got both kids loaded up in the double stroller for the first time yesterday and we went to the zoo. It's been gorgeous and sunny here lately.

Stella and her friend Estelle at the zoo a few weeks ago.

You may have to scroll down or hunt for them under the title "Sweet Baby James" if some time has passed and Amy has posted new photographs.

James is here!

Stellagrams- the James Editions

He is here! And right on time- he's taking after his dad already. James Robert Wallace was born at 2:52 pm on January 7th (his due date), weighing 8lbs 10oz and 20.25in long. We are so happy that he can honor both sides of the family and is named after his late maternal grandpa James Robert Cunningham and his paternal Great Grandfather James Robert Gourley.

So far he is a snuggly, cuddley love.

He came very quickly (especially compared to Stella). I woke up in labor around 4 am and after Stella went off to my mom's we headed to the hospital in rush hour traffic. It was a little like a scene out of a movie at some points- I'm having contractions and Brian is trying to avoid traffic by taking some creative back roads which unfortunately (for me in the throes of a contraction) contained some cobblestone streets. When we got therewe found that the Dr. for the day was my college soccer teammate, Sarah Salemy (nÊe Camp). A few hours later and with only a few pushes James was here.

So sleepy!

He might have dimples!

Brian and I both think he looks like Stella when she was born. Brian has some good photos of the two of them together that I will get posted in a day or two!

With Nanna Susanna.
Much love,
Kathryn
